Samuel Haroutunian is a Ph.D. candidate in Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) University Department of Archaeology and resides in France. His dissertation research focuses on Early Bronze pottery (ca. 3350-2600 B.C) from Gegharot in its cultural context. By using modern theories and methodology he has created a corpus of Kura-Araxes pottery and has elaborated a chrono-typological classification. This investigation includes economic and socio-cultural interpretations that highlight interactions within the global regional context. Samuel holds a DEA-Master degree in Near Eastern Archaeology from the Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) University.
